Being silly!!!

We had a lazy day at home today. We normally go to church on Wednesdays, but James is getting over a little fever so we decided to stay at the house. James is loving his "Johnny jump up"........and Claire loves to get a little swing in there when I am not looking :)

Doesn't she look a little mischievous here?

Sharing in some tummy time.

Loves to give some kisses...and he loves to get them. James thinks Claire is the funniest person on the Earth!!!

A little tickle!!!

Sweet boy!!!!

Claire getting in on the tickle action

It is all fun and games until someone gets their hair pulled....if you know Claire you know she hates anything to do with her hair.....cries when we brush it and gets crazy if someone pulls it. I think James will probably figure this out and use it against her at some point... ;)

Bubbles everywhere!!!!

We took these a couple of weeks ago....she loves the bath and the more bubbles the better! So cute!

Any tips.......

Big blue eyes!
...on what I should do with these feet when I get them to my mouth?
I think it is pretty funny!

James has just found his feet and is trying with all his might to get them up to his face.....only problem is that his belly is in the way! He is a pretty big boy and that prevents his feet from making it up there. The other day he was playing for forever in his bed and doing a little fussing here and there....I turned on the video and saw what he was doing. He was trying to get those feet up and he would get really close and then they would slip out of his hand and he would fuss...not for long because he would try again! So funny!!!!

4 month check

James got a good report from the doctor for 4 months! He is doing really well and she was so pleased that he had gained some weight even though he had been so sick. She said he would really be huge if he had been able to eat better :) He is now starting to roll over and holds his head up so well. He loves to laugh and his exersaucer!!! He thinks big sister is the funniest person in the world! He is a great baby and after a little "ferberization" is now sleeping 7-7 and taking two 2 plus hour naps....a great baby! Such a love....here are our stats....
16 pounds....75th percentile
25 3/4 inches....80th percentile

James and Claire....4 months

Everyone always asks if these 2 look alike and I think so......there are definitely some differences, but I do think they favor each other......here is a picture of both at 4 months! Such sweet babies they are and were!!!!

Easter 2009

We had a wonderful Easter weekend. It started out with a fun egg hunt at Claire's school. She say lots of friends and got lots of good candy :) She and Jack are looking at the Easter Bunny!!! So excited to see him!

We stopped for a little flower picking.

On your mark...get set...GO!
The hunt is on.....
We had fun with the hunt for a bit, but when we found out there was candy in the eggs...it was over. Claire and Georgia decide to stop and see what they have got!
James and I....Kate and Amy...hanging out watching the "big" kids hunt some eggs!

Cheering from the sidelines :)
A little out of order, but here we are all dressed up on Sunday....
Trying so hard to get both kids to smile......
Checking out the loot....Betsy, Georgia, Claire and Jack
Daddy and his boy

Mommy and the babies!

We met the Rimel's for brunch later that morning. It was a fun time. We went to the Marriot and they had a clown and the Easter Bunny running around! They were cracking up at the Easter Bunny!

No so into the bunny now..............

Having fun running on the sky walk

Sweet boy! He is such a great baby! Just hangin' out!

Ok, this background looked like a prom backdrop....I worked really hard for this picture! Even bribed them with candy :) As if they had not had enough today :)

Excuses...excuses!

Ok, I know you have heard them all, but we have had lots to deal with over here. I don't want to share too much of my sob story, but for posterity sake....I need to write this down. All was well until James was 7 weeks old and I had to have a little procedure and hospital stay...mom was here and stayed and helped out. She left the next week and Claire woke up with strep....the next week she got the stomach bug....she promptly gave it to me and Strick....the next week she got rsv.....and the following week she gave it to her brother. They were both so sick, so our Texas reinforcements came again. They were here and helped with breathing treatments and more snot and bodily fluids than you can imagine!!!! Then we were recovering for a few weeks and then got a double ear infection and ruptured ear drums........there is more...the ears did not clear up and we had to do another round of antibiotics......still more.....on Saturday we were at the doctor and he has pink eye......lovely! Not sure if it is just having 2 kids...having a toddler that drinks and eats after all her friends.....the cold weather that we are still dealing with here.....or what, but we hope to be done with it!!!!

Besides that, all is well here. Claire is doing so well and loves her baby brother. She cries for him when he goes down for a nap! James is doing so well and despite all the illness he is growing like a weed (over 16lbs) and sleeping so well! We are currently trying to potty train Claire and that is a job in itself.....will update on that later!

I promise some pictures to come soon! I have a new computer and the camera is kinda new so I am due some lessons and will get on the posts!
