We finally found..............

Someone that Claire does not like!!! We went to a party last night and she was not too happy to see Santa. We saw him at the mall and she cried until I came and got her, and last night was no different. He was already there when we walked in so I just tried to put her on his lap and she was not having it! Then Santa offered for me to sit on his lap and then maybe she would be ok.....as you can see she is way more interested in the candy cane than Santa!

Yes, those are tears in her eyes :(

Daddy got all dressed up to play with Claire in the snow. She does not like to walk in it! So he pretty much carried her around the yard for a bit ;)

Men can obviously play "dress-up" too! Not sure what the goggles are all about?

These two are hilarious! Amy's house was being painted so she and Jack hung with us for 2 days. We had so much fun! Jack and Claire love to kiss and hug. Here we got it on tape and then Jack went in for a hug and they both went down.....Claire hit the coffee table so we had to end the video. She was back at it in about 5 seconds even though it sounds like she is really hurt ;)

Claire got to have a friend over to eat and play.....she and Ethan are great play partners!


Eating together is so much fun!

Lovely monkey...may he R.I.P.!!!! She got this at the zoo and was so crazy about it. Would scream if you took it off of her. Then, Bitzy came along and chewed its face off. We are hoping for a miracle, but as of now monkey is still listed in very critical condition ;)

We went to the lighting of the plaza after Thanksgiving. We walked a long way and it was really cold, but the view was worth it!

Claire and Jack were very comfortable in their little coats!

This looks like trouble! These two, Noah and Luke, look like they are in the parking lot of some high school....so super cool all leaned up against the car talking to a foxy lady!

Looks like someone gets a chance to walk around with her ;)

Zoo Trip

I am still playing catch-up...we went to the zoo several weeks ago. So much fun!

Oh how I long for a day like this right now!!!! This was from several weeks ago when it was so nice we walked to the park with some friends. We are snowed today in and everything is cancelled (we were planning on 2 gymboree classes today ;)...thank goodness I have a couple of friends that are sweet enough to brave the weather and will come over today! If not we would have some serious cabin fever ;)

C loves the swing! She is so animated all the time...wonder where she gets that? ;)

Claire and Jack.....these two are so funny together! It is so great to see how they are starting to really play together and they have conversations....mostly Jack tells Claire all about Elmo!

We are still crazy about other kids. These sweet girls let Claire play with them.

Claire and Ethan got in one quick swing before we left! We will be so happy when it is nice enough to go to the park again!

Fall Leaves

A couple weeks ago our neighbors were raking leaves into a big pile and running and jumping in them. We were on a walk and they invited us to play! They have two kids...twins...1 boy... 1 girl and they are 4 years old. The girl, Trinity, takes much interest in Claire. Here are a few pictures of them playing.

Snow!!!

Sorry I have not updated in so long! We have been super busy around here. And as you can see, we have some serious weather. It was great on Thursday and Friday, but now we have so much ice-sleet-freezing rain-that Claire and I are stuck inside! Strick is hunting and we are hoping he can get back to us tonight! Anyway, it is really a pretty sight and I did drive in it!!!! So proud of myself!!! Then yesterday, I fell in a parking lot and then got stuck in another one.......we did make it out, but I decided to take the advice of all the local news stations and stay inside today!

Bitzy is not loving this! It took some real convincing to get her to go outside and then she does not stay long ;)

Our geese on the pond out back are really cold! They usually just float and hang out, but the past few days they have been flying all over the place. They seem to be congregating at our pond since it is one of the larger ones. We usually never hear them and this weekend they keep flying in and out.....guess to warm themselves up!

I promise to catch up on pictures soon! We have to because we will need lots of room for Christmas!!!

A visit from Auntie Niki and Uncle Andy!

My best friend Nicole and her husband, Andy, came to see us from San Francisco!!! We were so excited to see them! We had a great weekend and loved every minute of it! Nicole and Andy brought Claire some gifts!


I love this book about San Francisco! Hope I can come visit soon!

Where does the time go????????



We started off our day with an afternoon in Brookside (precious little old neighborhood here). They close down all the stores in the town square and hand out candy....sounds great, but about 2,000 other trick-or-treaters had the same idea! Claire and Jack are ready for the event!


This is a crowd shot as we crossed the street. It was totally out of hand!!!!!!!!!!


We stopped for a rest and let the kids have a cookie......Amy was trying to make them laugh and Claire thinks she is pretty funny!!!!! You can almost see all the cookie that was stuck to her face ;)


Back home for some posin' while we wait for Daddy.


This girl cracks herself up all the time!

Some sweet kids in the neighborhood joined us. C is infatuated with older children so it was fine with her!

This is our sweet neighbor, Blanche. She is seriously one of the kindest people I know! She loves Claire and Claire loves her. Since she knew Claire could not eat all the candy she was getting Miss Blanche went out and got her a little doggie.....so when we went to her house she gave it to Claire and she loves it! So sweet!
